SOCIAL JUSTICE SUNDAY STATEMENT FOR 1998
(25/08/1998) The Social Justice Sunday Statement for 1998 is entitled 'The Challenge of Ageing'. It will be published in the name of the Catholic Bishops and will be widely circulated in Catholic parishes and schools in preparation for the UN International Year of the Older Person, which commences in October 1998.
The statement will be launched by Stella Comelius, AO, OBE, Convenor of the Conflict Resolution Network, at 3.00 pm on Wednesday September 23rd in the Conference Centre at Mary McKillop Place, North Sydney.
Hosting the event will be the Bishop of Parramatta, Bishop Kevin Manning, Chairman of the Australian Catholic Social Justice Council
A copy of the Statement will be made available to all Catholic Media outlets as soon as it is available.
